Kitchen Remodel Could Not Have Gone Better!

My husband and I hired Sam and Dave to totally remodel our kitchen

and first floor powder room last Nov 2007. We cannot say enough

good things about them. Sam designed the layout of our new kitchen

and was the only one of 3 different kitchen designers that was able to

find a way to fit an island into the room. She put together a calendar

for the construction work, which was followed precisely. Her husband,

Dave did the demolition, sheet rock install and taping, cabinet

installation, trim work, etc. Electrical, plumbing, wood floor, cambria

counter installation, and painting were done by subs Dave and Sam

have worked with for a long time. We were very happy with the work

of the subs too. Dave stopped by frequently to see the work of the

subs was being done according to plan. Dave and Sam take great prid

in their work, are extremely knowledgeable, conscientious, and have

many years of experience in their respective areas. Both Sam and

Dave's attention to detail was above and beyond what we expected.

We are totally happy with our new kitchen and still frequently

discover new things we love about it's design and construction.

Sam had lots of good ideas and helped us come up with a great plan.

She really listened to our needs and our ideas. Dave did a great job

installing our cabinets. Both Sam and Dave listened to the few concerns

Successful Remodel Project

We were amidst a remodeling job going bad when we found Sam

and Dave. Sam's knowledge, creation, and execution of a plan was

truely the bright light that to this day remains. Dave's expertise,

We couldn't have been happier with Sam and Dave Oertel when they

remodeled our entire kitchen a few years ago. Sam's creativity and

problem solving skills enabled her to come up with a unique and

beautiful layout that works for our family and that designers from

other companies never even considered. Her design saved us so

much money by maximizing our kitchen space so we wouldn't have

to knock down any walls. Sam worked incredibly hard to ensure that

we got exactly what we wanted throughout every step of the process.

Dave's craftsmanship was equally impressive. His ability to install

the cabinets seamlessly was amazing. We live in an old house with

crooked walls and ceilings, and Dave was still able to install the

crown moulding and cabinets flawlessly. Working with this husband

and wife team made communication effective and easy. We highly

Kitchen Renovation

Kitchen Remodel

Sam and Dave remodelled our 1974 rambler kitchen and family room

in 2004. With Sam's excellent planning and Dave's meticulous work,

the project turned out beautifully! One of our favorite things was the

project calendar that Sam created, so we knew when each phase of

the project would be worked on and completed - and Dave and the

subcontractors always held to that calendar within a couple days.

We found the quality of the work to be excellent, and we knew that

Dave would attend to every detail with the greatest care. Sam was

always available for consultation, and kept everything on track.

We had the freedom to be as involved as we wanted to, and felt the

remodel experience was very positive! Thanks, Sam and Dave, for

creating such a wonderful kitchen and family room space for us!

What a great experience!

My husband and I hired Sam and David to remodel our inefficient,

small 1920's kitchen last summer. Our old house provided challenge

after challenge and yet the entire project was finished beautifully, on

time and on budget. David and his subcontractors were always there

when promised and always available to discuss the smallest item.

David and Sam are the way to go if you'd a professional, personable

remodeling company. I dream everyday of having them back to

work on other parts of this old house!

Kitchen Remodel

About 8 years ago my husband and I contracted Sam and Dave to

help us create a new kitchen. My husband has worked in construction

for 25 years and was very impressed with the work and

professionalism that they both brought to our project. Sam walked

me through the planning and helped me pick out the features that

would make my kitchen the one I had dreamed of having. Each day I

would come home to find Dave working away making progress

bringing the kitchen we had planned to life. My home is a 70's split

and so all the rooms flow into one another, except for the kitchen

you would never have known there was construction going on in

my home. Dave was so meticulous in keeping the worksite clean,

I never felt like my house was a mess. My kitchen is the 'heart' of

my home. I still receive compliments on its beauty and how well it

fits into the house from everyone who enters my home.

A Kitchen Dream Comes True

We live in a townhome in Eden Prairie. Our galley kitchen was

inefficient, boring with cheap original materials and needed a

complete renovation. Sam Oertel presented us with numerous great

ideas to maximize space with innovation and style. After approving

of the design scheme, Dave presented us with not only a contract,

but a complete consruction schedule that itemized activities to

the day. Dave not only held to that schedule but his electrical and

plumbing sub-contractors were also on-time as well. Throughout the

tear-down, floor tiling, under-counter lighting, cabinet and

countertop installation period, Dave was on-time and on achedule.

Not only was he thoroughly professional in his work, he swept,

mopped up and minimized our inconvenience of not having a working

kitchen. The end result was beyond our greatest expectations and our

kitchen, the most important room in our home, is a daily joy. We got

more than we expected and we enjoy our home like never before!.

Sure, you can go to a "big-box" retail store, pick a design presented

by an unqualified clerk and then have the work done by the first guy

on their "recommended list" of contractors and maybe save a few

bucks for a kitchen you didn't really want in the first place. Or you

can go to Artistic Kitchen Creations. meet with Sam and Dave, and

end with a dream kitchen, on time and within your budget.

That choice is yours, but we're glad we made ours and went

with "Team Oertel"!

Wonderful attention to detail and results!!!

I had never contracted for a remodel before so I was really afraid of

the process. Sam made me feel SO at home! I felt like I was in control

but with a really knowledgeable expert friend in my corner. She took

me through all the details, options, design ideas, colors and all the

rest of the process. Change and decisions aren’t really in my comfort

zone but with help all the way along we got it all planned and ordered.

Once demolition of my old kitchen and dining room started I was

amazed every day by the skill and efficiency with which Dave took

out all the old stuff and installed the brand new kitchen Sam and I had

planned! I had never seen anyone so careful with my house and open

to solving the little things that appeared behind the walls. He even

swept up every night before he left for the night! (!!!!) I remember

seeing him use 2 levels on all the cabinet installs to make sure that

they were perfectly level. To this day I can set a marble on my

counter and it doesn’t roll! When a horrible ice storm prevented him

from getting to our house one day, he asked if it would work for us if

he came on Saturday to keep the project on schedule. And it was all

done in the time predicted and is SO beautiful! I have nothing but

praise for this business and have recommended them to my friends

whenever possible. And they have loved working with Sam and

Dave too!

Whole House Remodel

I hired Artistic Kitchen Creations to remodel my kitchen. Before I

was done, I ended up having them remodel my entire house. I have

worked in the construction industry for 25 years and this company

and the installer they used (Stud Finders Contracting) are among

some of the best remodeling/construction companies I have ever

encountered. I always felt they were very fair with cost/pricing

issues and they met the written schedule they gave me at the

beginning of the project without fail. The design suggestions their

designers gave me were great. They came up with some very

creative ideas to make my house look great and function very well.

The attention to detail with the installation work was exceptional.

They were very easy to work with at every step in the process and I

always felt very confident having them on my project. A friend

recommended this company to me and I now recommend this

company to all of my friends. I can't say enough positive things

about this company!

About 10 years ago we had the build portion of this company do a

basement remodel and I can't tell you enough how well run this

company is and how on time they are. They run this company with a

calendar system that no one else has and have been doing this for

many years. I wish we had know about them before we had all the

heartache with other contractors! Now we have done a new kitchen

with them and it is so wonderful to have it done and the quality is

Outstanding by ALL Standards!

Artistic Kitchen Creations is amazing! I walked into the showroom

and was in awe at the quality and design. Not only did the showroom

display kitchens, but there was also a living room, laundry room,

and even a '50s diner! And their displays are from contemporary to

Asian themed, giving a broad range of ideas. Sam is so inspired and

makes every step of the way an easy one. I hired Sam and Dave to

do a kitchen for me a few years ago and I am still impressed each

time I walk in! Sam planned the design, installation, even plumbing

and electrical. They made everything so easy, it was amazing! David

helped to take care of the actual building and his workmanship and

attention to quality is unsurpassed. If I ever had to move I would

not hesitate to hire them again; in fact, I would recommend no one

else but Artistic Kitchen Creations!
